About Salient Books

My mission is to offer a great way to escape reality and explore the vastness of literature from the comfort of your own home. As an indie online bookshop, I would like to give you a book buying experience that features some titles that you might not have heard of. I do this by adding 4-6 independent authors every month to the Garden of Dreams Collection, the true heart of Salient Books. I have a signature way of packaging that ensures your book(s) will arrive safe and sound while giving you the experience of buying something special.

The Owner is Jasmine Headley, the sole proprietor of Salient Books. I am a mother of two boys and as an avid reader I understand the value of having access to a wide selection of books and how impactful some books can feel. This bookshop is just the beginning of my dream. I want to create a space where people can leave their burdens at the door and selling books online will help me save up to become my own brick and mortar store. There I plan on having many things happen from weekly book clubs to days dedicated to independent authors. The journey has just begun! I started this bookshop from a small office at home by launching this website December 13th, 2023.
