Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original packaging (box or bubble mailer). You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If your order is damaged, incorrect, missing items, or not as shown when purchased, please contact us as soon as possible at salientbooksbookstore@gmail.com so we can make things right.

To help us resolve the issue as quickly as possible, please include:

  • Photos of the damaged item(s).

  • Photos of any damaged inserts, gifts, or packaging materials.

  • Photos showing how the item(s) were packed inside the box or mailer.

  • Photos of the exterior shipping box or mailer, including any visible damage.

  • A clear photo of the shipping label with the tracking number visible.

Depending on the shipping carrier, additional documentation may be required to process a damage claim. This may include:

  • Photos showing all exterior sides of the shipping box or mailer.

  • A close-up photo of the manufacturer's box certificate (the circular stamp printed on the outside of most corrugated shipping boxes).

  • Additional photos requested by the shipping carrier.

Whenever possible, we recommend keeping all original packaging and packing materials until your claim has been resolved, as carriers may require photos or, in rare cases, an inspection of the packaging.

Once we've reviewed your request, we'll work with you to make things right as quickly as possible. Depending on the situation, this may include a replacement, store credit, or a refund. We understand that every situation is different, and we'll work with you to find the resolution that best meets your needs.

Please note that replacement orders or refunds are not contingent upon the outcome of a carrier claim. If additional documentation is needed by the shipping carrier, we greatly appreciate your help in providing it so we can recover the cost of the damaged shipment.

 

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as special orders or personalized items). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
